Caring for God's Oldest Friends
  Providing Pastoral Care to Seniors
Studies find that 50-60% of older adults living in long-term care (LTC) facilities never get visited by anyone, and many LTC residents face chronic loneliness, boredom, and depression. Research further shows that caring for the spiritual needs of older adults is essential to their quality of life. They need meaning, purpose, and hope.

In 1999, RICS began to address that need and since then has been providing innovative, comprehensive, and cost-effective programs of pastoral care for seniors.  RICS can provide chaplains in LTC facilities to offer direct pastoral care.  It can also provide education and training to congregations to assist them in developing their own senior adult ministries.

RICS makes available pastoral care and clinical pastoral education and training to congregations, hospitals, and healthcare facilities that serve God’s “oldest friends.”
